Double ARC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded by the Sisters
of Notre Dame in 1992 to address the needs of children in
the regular classroom whose behavior and academic
challenges put them at risk for failure or suspension.

- ADAS Recognition
Lucas County
Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services (ADAS) presented
Double ARC the organization award "In recognition of
exemplary service and advocacy to reduce the impact of
alcohol and other drug abuse and dependency" for
raising awareness and leading FAS prevention efforts.
- Triumph Curricula
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
selected Double ARC as one of four grantees
nationwide to develop FAS Curricula for
Parents and Teachers for the FAS Awareness and
Education Project. Curricula for parents and
teachers are now available.
- Ohio FASD
Interagency Workgroup A goal was
realized when the Ohio state departments of Drug and
Alcohol Services (ODADAS) and Health (ODH) began a
task force at the state level. Double ARC continues
to serve on this task force.
2005-2007
- Workshops on brain
compatible learning, sensory integration, and FASD.
- Development of
professional learning communities.
- Project Adapt in
collaboration with Lucas County Juvenile Court &
Children Services to screen youth entering the Youth
Treatment Center for FASD and to train the staff in
working effectively with youth with FASD.
- Operating Sensory
Integration program at Mary Immaculate School.
